Sattu Paratha

In a large mixing bowl combine the sattu powder powdered jaggery chopped almonds chopped cashews raisins and cardamom powder.


  • 1 cup sattu powder
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ajwain seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • Ghee for frying


  1. In a large mixing bowl combine the sattu powder whole wheat flour chopped onions coriander leaves ajwain seeds cumin seeds red chili powder and salt.
  2. Slowly add water and mix well to form a smooth dough.
  3. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and roll out into parathas.
  4. Heat a skillet or tawa over medium heat and place the paratha on it. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side.
  5. Brush with ghee and serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
