Murmura Chivda
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When they start to crackle add the curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups Urjabites Murmura (puffed rice)
- 1/2 cup peanuts
- 1/2 cup roasted chana dal
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 10-12 curry leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When they start to crackle add the curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds.
- Add the peanuts and roasted chana dal and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the turmeric powder red chili powder and salt. Mix well.
- Add the Murmura (puffed rice) and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
- Add the raisins and mix well.
- Turn off the heat and let the Murmura Chivda cool down completely.
- Store in an airtight container.
