Bhagalpur Katarni Chura Poha

Rinse the Bhagalpuri Katarni Chura Poha with water and drain the water completely. Keep it aside for 10 minutes to soften.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Bhagalpuri Katarni Chura Poha
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1/4 cup roasted chana dal
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the Bhagalpuri Katarni Chura Poha with water and drain the water completely. Keep it aside for 10 minutes to soften.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When they start to crackle add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes turmeric powder red chili powder and salt. Mix well and cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  4. Add the roasted peanuts and chana dal and mix well.
  5. Add the Bhagalpuri Katarni Chura Poha to the pan and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes on low heat.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges.
