Rinse the Bhagalpuri Katarni Chura Poha with water and drain the water completely. Keep it aside for 10 minutes to soften.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Bhagalpuri Katarni Chura Poha
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts
- 1/4 cup roasted chana dal
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Salt to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
- Rinse the Bhagalpuri Katarni Chura Poha with water and drain the water completely. Keep it aside for 10 minutes to soften.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When they start to crackle add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- Add the chopped tomatoes turmeric powder red chili powder and salt. Mix well and cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
- Add the roasted peanuts and chana dal and mix well.
- Add the Bhagalpuri Katarni Chura Poha to the pan and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes on low heat.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges.
Note:
You can also add boiled and mashed potatoes or peas to the recipe for a more filling meal. Additionally you can sprinkle some sev or bhujia on top for extra crunchine
